Observations from April
The Australian market lifted over the month with all major sectors except for Materials recording a gain.
The ASX 200 accumulation index is now up over 5% since the start of the calendar year.
Major indices in the US also posted gains as the recent volatility seen in stock markets declined during April. Earnings reports from big technology companies were generally well received.
